CompTIA ANZ Channel Community Meetings

CompTIA held the ANZ Channel Community meetings in Sydney on 24 November, and Melbourne on 25 November 2015, just four months after CompTIA’s inaugural ANZ Channel Community meeting in Sydney in August. The meetings were informative, enjoyable and very well attended.

At both meetings, Moheb in the role of the Community Director for CompTIA, outlined the association’s objectives in the ANZ region, highlighting its goal to provide a forum through which to discuss industry issues and identify solutions to combat them.

Moheb also presented findings from CompTIA’s International State of the Channel research highlighting some of the major trends for 2016 in the local market. The research found that cloud technology, data-driven business, connectivity, and automation are among the continuing trends that are expected to dominate in the coming year.

CompTIA talked about their support for the Young ICT Explorers program, a non-profit initiative encouraging students to create ICT-related projects. They also had the community members vote on CompTIA initiatives they would like to see executed locally in the coming year. Voting revealed the community want to invest in the Dream IT Program which works to encourage women into careers in the IT Channel Industry. The community also voted for the localisation of legal documentation and resources for the ANZ market.

If you were not able to make it along to the meetings, be sure to register on the ANZ Channel Community website and stay tuned for details on the ‘Best Of’ webinar scheduled for February 2016 where the best parts of these meetings are presented again via webinar.
